Ever since Prime Video revealing they had been doing a Carrie TV adaptation, I’ve been eagerly following alongside. The latest casting announcement has solely made me extra excited, too, as Scream and Five Nights at Freddy‘s star Matthew Lillard is moving into the footwear of the horror story’s well-meaning principal, aka Mister Morton.
I’m so excited to see Lillard’s tackle a personality who’s taken many varieties over time from the unique Stephen King novel and the 1976 film traditional, to the not-so-good 2013 retelling. It’ll be attention-grabbing to see in the event that they stick with the novel or make modifications his character, too.
I already had excessive hopes for this undertaking, which has Netflix horror aficionado Mike Flanagan on the helm. He’s well-known for his profitable horror sequence corresponding to The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, so I’m anticipating his Amazon TV tackle one other of King’s most iconic works to be one other small display screen hit.
