Former high Trump cybersecurity official Chris Krebs informed The Wall Street Journal in an interview on Wednesday that he vowed to struggle again towards a federal investigation ordered into him by President Trump.
Krebs mentioned within the interview that he’ll resign from his place at cybersecurity agency SentinelOne so as to problem the federal investigation, which claims Krebs “falsely and baselessly denied that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen.” The order additionally stripped Krebs of his safety clearance.

Trump employed Krebs in 2018 to guide the newly created U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which oversees federal cybersecurity and election safety. Trump fired Krebs in November 2020 quickly after publicly debunking Trump’s false claims of voting irregularities.
Per the Journal, Krebs joins a rising record of former authorities officers, legislation corporations, and universities pushing again on the Trump administration’s use of the chief department to focus on critics and dissenters.
