Intel’s new CEO Lip-Bu Tan wasted no time laying out his plans for the semiconductor big.
Speaking on the Intel Vision convention this week, Tan instructed attendees that the corporate will spin off property that aren’t core to its mission, Bloomberg reported. Tan didn’t specify what was categorised as core and non-core to the corporate’s enterprise.
Intel may also launch new merchandise together with customized semiconductors for patrons, Tan added. But he made no point out of breaking apart the corporate, in keeping with Bloomberg, which was a possible turnaround technique floated in latest months.
Tan was named Intel’s CEO on March 12 and assumed the position on March 18, slightly over three months after former CEO Pat Gelsinger was compelled out of the position on December 1. Previously, Tan was a member of the corporate’s board of administrators earlier than resigning late final August.
