The Supreme Court mentioned on Wednesday that it’s going to hear ByteDance and TikTok’s problem to a regulation would ban the social community within the U.S. except the social community divests from Chinese possession by January 19.
On January 10, the Supreme Court justices will hear argue about whether or not the sell-or-ban regulation violates the First Amendment. It is unknown how shortly the courtroom will make a decision.
The two corporations requested the Supreme Court on Monday to dam the regulation. Last week, ByteDance and TikTok filed an emergency movement asking an appeals courtroom to briefly block the regulation to be able to give the Supreme Court an opportunity to evaluate the case.
The social community might also get a lifeline from President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to save TikTok. It’s value noting that TikTok CEO Shou Chew reportedly met with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, in accordance with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
