LinkedIn has a brand new chief data safety officer, Lea Kissner. Announcing the appointment in a LinkedIn publish (fittingly), Kissner stated they’re “excited” to tackle the brand new position.
Kissner most lately served as CISO at cloud safety startup Lacework. Prior to that, they had been Twitter’s CISO till their departure in November 2022, weeks after Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the social media big, now often called X. Kissner additionally beforehand served in senior cybersecurity and privateness positions at Google and Apple.
Kissner replaces Geoff Belknap, who served as LinkedIn CISO till June. In a separate publish, Belknap congratulated Kissner, saying LinkedIn is in “nice palms.”
